Are we the only ones obsessed with that show Wipeout? I laugh my ass off ever single time someone face plants into those big red balls. I don't want to like the show, but I am powerless in the face of such jackassery.
What I can't figure out, though, is why someone would choose to be a contestant. $50,000 isn't all that much for public humiliation.

I do like to watch it now and then too. It's a good pick-me-up to watch other people making fools of themselves.
I could not and would not do it myself though.
TV like that makes me ranty...so I haven't watched it though maybe I should though I would probably get all ranty wondering why the hell people were humiliating themselves for such a paltry sum. Then again, I could totally use $50k so maybe not. And at least there's cash involved. I went to a fundraiser in smalltown NC back in Feb where 10 people got on stage and allowed themselves to be totally humiliated...I mean hypnotized...for FREE. Now that's entertainment.
We totally watch it.
We love it.
And also it's predecessor, Most Extreme Elimination Challenge that's on Spike. MXC is actually a redubbed version of a Japanese game show, Takahashi's Castle.
i did not know about this show, but i suspect i NEED TO WATCH IT.
I haven't seen wipeout yet. I've been busy watching True Blood and Supernatural online.
I always get embarrased for others on those reality shows.
"Jackassery"....I like it!
LOL! I haven't seen the show yet. But I do remember all of the Japanese shows like this they aired late at night on TV. Hilarious! I may have to check this out.
