Need a Good Book?

For those of you playing along at home, last month I told you about the book The Rabbit Factory by Marshall Karp. If you can believe it, I got a rather lovely email from the author thanking me for my kind words about his first novel. We exchanged emails and I was delighted to discover he is a really terrific guy and just as funny in real life as he is in his novels. Because of this I was almost reluctant to read the follow up, Bloodthirsty, for fear that it would hit the Sophomore Slump and end up sucking. Thankfully, Mr. Karp did not let me down. Again, it's got a pretty decent mystery, but it is the characters that you will love. They're so damn flawed and likeable, especially if you're partial to sarcastic smartasses (I am, I married one). I liked the second book just as much as the first and now cannot wait until the third. Seriously, this is the new series that you have to read. You will not regret it.
